Who can become a member of NACTTA?
Anyone who is an Indian national and actively working (or planning to work) as a performing artiste in film, TV, web, or digital platforms can apply. Foreign nationals and NRIs can apply under special conditions with valid documentation.
What is the process for obtaining a work permit?
You must fill out the official application form, submit the required documents (training certificate, work proof, or audition), and pay the entrance fee. The first year begins with a provisional work permit.
Can a work permit holder apply for regular membership?
Yes, after completing two consecutive years with valid work permits, you can apply for regular membership. You'll also go through an interview or assessment and pay the prescribed membership fees.
What kind of legal help does NACTTA offer?
NACTTA provides legal guidance on contracts, employment-related disputes, and artiste rights. All legal cases are reviewed and approved by the Executive Committee before action is taken.
